FTA Not Granted Fiscal Incentives

VIVAnews - The Indonesian government has yet to prepare fiscal incentives to the business people concerning the China FTA. Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa said the government demands fair trade in the implementation of the FTA.

"As regards incentives, we cannot provide excessive subsidies aiming at cheap exports," said Hatta on Tuesday, Jan 19.

The government, said Hatta, wanted that the national industry rises and aims at reducing the high-cost economy. "This is our priority," he said. Therefore, the government is improving various sectors in the Yudhoyono administration program.

"We are preparing infrastructure and energy development," he said.

Hatta cited the building of receiving terminal to reinforce gas supply in Java and Sumatra.
