Bank Mandiri Targets Rise in Consumer Credit

VIVAnews - PT Bank Mandiri targets consumer credit growth at 28 percent up until 2010. Given the achievement in 2009 at Rp 23.4 trillion, the company this year will attempt Rp 29.95 trillion.

"This year, we are targeting consumer credit at 28 percent," said Bank Mandiri EVP coordinator consumer finance, Mansyur P Nasution, after signing a memoranum of understanding with the Indonesian Red Cross in Jakarta, today, June 10.

Bank Mandiri recorded that the company's consumer credit up until April 2010 was at Rp 25 trillion. Home loans contributed to most consumer credit at Rp 13 trillion.

Moreover, Bank Mandiri acknowledged that the company will zoom in at new credit card users at around for 350-500 thousand credit cards.

In the business card sector, Bank Mandiri gained Rp 3 trillion of consumer credit with 1.6 million cards.
