VIVAnews - Today, Jan 17, the representatives of Research in Motion (RIM) in Indonesia and the Ministry of Information and Communications will hold a meeting to discuss issues on BlackBerry services in the country.

An issue being under concern is pornography filters over its services.

Managing Director of Research In Motion of Asia and Pacific, Gregory Wade, said the company understands the request expressed by the Indonesian government as regards pornography filters.

"We've intended to comply with the government demands," said Wade in Jakarta today, Jan 17. "We also recognize that we have quite significant customer base in Indonesia. We deeply appreciate the loyalty shown by consumers, developers and operators in the country," he said.

"We're going to discuss about [pornography filters] with six teleco operators that have become our partners in Indonesia," said Wade. "We need 100 hours to pitch in the [government's] request," he went on to say.
