War Volunteers Not Required

VIVAnews - According to Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla no war volunteers need to be deployed to Gaza Strip. "However, we have sent our health volunteers," said Kalla.

Kalla stated on Friday, Jan 9, that various volunteers are assigned to the conflict regions. "There are volunteers for health, social and war," he said.

"Social volunteers may be [dispatched]. But it will not be easy for them to get in," said Kalla.

Earlier, Chairman of Indonesian People's Consultative Council also claimed that no war volunteers should be transferred to Gaza Strip. "The Palestinians had said that they do not need foreign warriors to come and help Palestine," said Chairman Hidayat Nur Wahid.

Currently, Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is holding enrollment in several regions for volunteers willing to engage in the war at the Gaza Strip.
