VIVAnews - National Secretariat of the Indonesian Forum for Budget Transparency (Fitra) urges the Indonesian government to cut out budget allocation for Designated International Rating School (RSBI) following reports that RSBI have been granted more funds than those schools of National Standards.

"The government has really subordinated schools of national standards," said Fitra spokesperson, Uchok Sky Khadafi.

Fitra said in a statement that the budgeting for the two types of schools not properly balanced.

The National Education Agency, said Uchok, dished out Rp 289 billion of budget for RSBI. Meanwhile, as for the schools of national standards, the government only settled Rp 250 billion.

Poor people have long depended on schools of national standards as a way to get better education. Given the inequal distribution of budget, schools of national standards will soon be ignored.
