Sampoerna also Fell Victim to Antaboga Fraud

VIVAnews - The Indonesian Police headquarters confirmed that Boedi Sampoerna was a victim of fraud, committed by Robert Tantular, former owner of PT Bank Century Tbk and PT Antaboga Delta Sekuritas. Such was conveyed by Indonesian Police Director II of Economy and Special Crimes at Crime and Investigation Department Brigadier General Edmond Ilyas to VIVAnews on Monday, Jan 19.

Boedi Sampoerna is said as one of the victims of fraud which was committed by Robert Tantular. In fact, an anonymous source cited that Sampoerna's money which was embezzled through Antaboga reached around Rp 200 billion (US$18.02 million).

Boedi Sampoerna was former President Commissioner of PT Hanjaya Sampoerna Tbk, one of the largests cigarette producers in Indonesia. He was a top depositor in Bank Century. To handle the case, Sampoerna hired Lucas as his lawyer.

When Lucas was asked for confirmation, he was reluctant of sharing some answer. "You can ask for the information from the police," he said.

Ilyas also said that Sampoerna was a victim of both Century Bank and Antaboga.
