VIVAnews - The Indonesian Red Cross said in a report that it still lacks one million bags of blood. "It's fairly not enough to meet the demand of blood by two percent of the total Indonesian population, which results in 4.5 million of blood bags per year," said Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross, today, July 7.

According to Kalla, the Indonesian Red Cross can only make available 3.5 million of blood bags per year. More campaigns on blood donation will be set out.

"Operational cars for blood donation will be distributed to provinces and regencies in an attempt to get blood donors in many areas" said Kalla.

Kalla said as many as 20 donation vehicles have been around.

Kalla said the Indonesian Red Cross will build a disaster mitigation center in six zones.
