VIVAnews - Prominent independent presidential candidate Rizal Ramli viewed that a powerful government will have the potential to commit corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN).

"A strong government tends to manipulate power and stimulate KKN," said Ramli on Wednesday, Jan 28.

Therefore, Ramli evaluated that Indonesia is not in need of a strong government, adding that what it needs instead is an effective government as far as democracy goes.

"In Europe, leaders coming from minor parties won elections and succeeded in governing their administrations," he said.

Ramli went on to say that the European minor parties gained success by virtue of a coalition which was based on vision and victims. He said that it will be more benefited compared to the tactical coalition that major parties set up.
