VIVAnews - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa, said six Indonesian nationals who were held hostage knocked out some Somali pirates. Several men were reported injured during the occurrence.

"A report says that several ship crews are wounded," said Marty, today.

Six Indonesians had been taken hostage by Somali pirates on November 4, 2011. They were ship crews working in a Taiwan's fishing ship. All six managed to escape after trashing the guarding pirates.

In May, 20 Indonesians who worked at Sinar Kudus ship were held captive for 46 days. The hostages were released after PT Samudera Indonesia, the ship owner, paid US$4.5 million worth of ransom to the pirates.

Following the event, 13 Indonesians were also held hostage on Tanzanian waters on April 30, 2011.
