VIVAnews - A team of surgeons at Andi Makkasau Hospital, Parepare, South Sulawesi, said tens of nails and a hypodermic needle found in Safira's limbs are planted on purpose.

The finding asnwers the speculation that the three-year-old kid has been a victim of witchcraft. "Medical explanation on the case is possible," said a surgeon, Kamaruddin Said, yesterday.

Kamaruddin said medical examination over Safira's limbs would emphasize an assumption that Safira's body in fact resists the metal objects.

The team of surgeons has yet to detect how the nails and needle had been inserted. However, the main clue as to how the insertion took place has been dugged up. "We found scars in Safira's calves and back," he said.

After the second operation, Safira is getting better. She is back to her initial contentment and beginning to talk. The doctors will still have to monitor the girl's condition within the next three months.

The Parepare Police Department are still probing into the case.
