VIVAnews - An economist at Standard Chartered Bank, Fauzi Ichsan, said the 2012 economic growth of 6.7 percent will be difficult to achieve. If the global crisis in Greece and Europe gets worse, then Indonesia’s economic growth will slide to 5.8 percent.

“If Greece and Europe are dealing with worsening economy, their debts will double and Indonesia’s economic growth will fall to 5.8 percent. The world’s economic growth is expected to hit two percent,” Fauzi said today, Feb 16.

He said if Europe's economies gain ground, then the investment will be chipped in to Asia, including Indonesia, by the second half of the year.

The government will revise the target of economic growth of 6.7 percent in the 2012 State Budget.  The revision will be included in the Revised 2012 State Budget.

Deputy Finance Minister, Anny Ratnawati, said the economic slowdown in Indonesia was marked by a significant decline in export in the fourth quarter of 2011.  The decline could be seen when compared to the performance in the third quarter of 2011 and fourth quarter of 2010.
