Content Industry Regulation to Be Revised

VIVAnews - The Indonesian Telecommunications Regulatory Body (BRTI) is preparing the final revision of Ministerial Regulation No.1/2009 on premium services in creative industries. 

"The regulation will help boost creative industries as well as ensure protection over consumers," said BRTI Commissioner, Danrivanto Budianto, today in a discussion. 

The revision will apply three approaches: technical, business and economic, and social regulations.  

He said the revision will be ready for examination next month. 

"The draft is on the table. The minister [of information and communications] will address the issue," he said. 

The revised ministerial regulation will be synchronized with three other principles, namely Draft Ministerial Regulation on Electronic Media Promotion, Regulation on Frequency, and Regulation on Interconnected SMSes.
