First Impressions

Sumber :

Smart Up Your Life is a one-hour English language learning program aimed at young professionals who want to improve their English skills. The show features music, a sharing session with local public figures (managers, employees, lecturers and others) and their activities involving the use of their English skills, as well as an interactive (call-in) session with listeners. An experienced English teacher helps listeners to improve their conversational skills and build their confidence.

In this episode you will hear three Americans talk about the first things they noticed while living in Indonesia.  You will recognize various ways the word impression is used in the dialogue and guess the meaning of vocabulary.

By the end of the episode you will be able to use vocabulary and phrases to talk about your opinions and impressions of people and places and use simple present tense to talk about facts, habits and things that are still true today.

Use the attached document, "First Impressions Worksheet," while listening to the program.

Answers to the quiz will be made available next week.
