5.3 Earthquake hits Gorontalo

VIVAnews- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Gorontalo, Indonesia, on Thurday, March 19,

According to the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG), the earthquake had no potential to trigger a tsunami.

The 5.3 on the Richter scale earthquake occurred at 00.08a.m. local time. The earthquake’s epicenter was located 91 kilometers southeast of Gorontalo or 220 kilometers southwest of Manado at a depth of 91 km below sea level.

There were no immediate reports of injuries and damage so far.
