Indosat Awarded Gold Medal

VIVAnews - State telecommunication operator PT Indosat Tbk. (ISAT) received gold award for the 2009 best bond issuer category based on a rating by an exchange rating company PT Pefindo.

"This award reflects high confidence of bond holders toward the principles of good corporate governance [GCG]," said Indosat President Director Johnny Swandi Sjam in a press release received by VIVAnews in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 28.

Pefindo Awards 2009 is held by Pefindo collaborating with The Pinnacle Group Asia.

The award was handed down by Head of the Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) Fuad Rahmany during an event entitled "The Inaugural Indonesia Capital Markets Conference 2009" in Jakarta, Monday night, April 27.
