VIVA – On the continuation of the Epson and WWF event visit in Marisa Village, Kangge Island, Alor regency with the theme “Reward Trip to Alor”, Epson directly gave a projector to PAUD Permata Bunda on August 26, 2022. Epson has a purpose to improve the quality of education on Kangge Island.
Representatives from Epson who handed over the projector directly were Managing Director of PT Epson Indonesia, Muto Yusuke and Head of Marcomm and PR, Nolly Dhanurendra.
As Head of Marcomm and PR, Nolly Dhanurendra said that this Projector donate activity is an Epson activity that has been carried out for the past few years.
“Basically, this activity is an Epson activity. So, we continue to carry out CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities. Well, one of them is through donations to schools or what we usually call as Epson Go to School. We've been doing that for the past few years." Nolly Dhanurendra remarked.
Nolly said that for this year, Epson will focus on the eastern area of ??Indonesia. The purpose of this projector is to improve the quality of education.
“This year, we are heading towards the eastern area of ??Indonesia. So, Kangge and Alor are one of the targets. The goal is increasing the level of education, especially in areas that lack to improve the quality of education,” Nolly Dhanurendra said.
It is known that Epson Indonesia is collaborating with WWF Indonesia to improve coral reefs through the rockpile system. WWF Indonesia also helps find places where Epson can continue its CSR activities. Epson targets this donation to start from PAUD to college.
"Actually, this (donation) is not specific, so we see all the potential that exists. If the target is indeed Epson Indonesia starting from PAUD to college level. If we look at it, it is possible now that the current level of education requires technology. Now, we are collaborating with WWF, and WWF helps us to determine which (village or place) needs more.” Nolly Dhanurendra added.
Previously, in March 2022, Epson made a donation around the Alor Islands, namely the Buaya island by giving a printer.
Managing Director of Epson Indonesia, Muto Yusuke said that the people in Alor, especially Marisa Village, are very friendly. The sea is also very beautiful.
“People here are so friendly; the sea is beautiful and we want to keep continuing this kind activity for Indonesia into education.” Muto Yusuke remarked.
According to one of the teachers at PAUD Permata Bunda, Mrs. Daimah expressed her gratitude for the concern of Epson and WWF in providing this donation. Children can watch movies and I can give lessons through this projector.
