"Today, we're introducing the ability to have two WhatsApp accounts logged in at the time. Helpful for witching between accounts - such as your work and personal - now you no longer need to log out each time, carry two phones or worry about messaging from the wrong place," WhatsApp said in a blog spot, as quoted on isp site.

"This new feature offers convenience and ease for users who need to manage multiple accounts," it continued.

To set up the second account, users will need a second phone number and SIM card or a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM. Once the requirements are met, users can go to WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to their name, and select “Add account.”

It is recommended to review and adjust the privacy and notification settings for each account to ensure proper management.

WhatsApp also issued a warning to users about using official versions of the app. They advise against downloading imitations or fake versions that claim to offer additional account options.

This messaging app emphasizes that only the official app guarantees secure and private messaging. Using questionable clones can result in penalties imposed by WhatsApp.

WhatsApp’s new update allows users to seamlessly manage multiple accounts on one smartphone. This feature enhances convenience and eliminates the need for carrying multiple devices or constantly logging in and out.

However, users should be cautious and only use the official WhatsApp app to ensure privacy and security.
