Knowing History of the Isra Miraj

Jakarta – Isra Miraj is one of the important events for Muslims. The event that occurred on the 27th Rajab in the eighth prophetic year is the event of the holy journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW from the Grand Mosque to the Grand Mosque of Aqsa in Palestine to ascend to Sidratul Muntaha in the seventh heaven in one night.
Isra means the journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW from the Grand Mosque in Mecca to the Aqsa Mosque in Jerussalem using Buraq.
During the trip, the angel Gabriel had invited the Prophet Muhammad SAW to pray in several places such as Tayyibah, Madyan, Thursina and Bethlehem.
Miraj is the journey of Prophet Muhammad SAW from earth to Sidratul Muntaha with the Angel Gabriel. During the seventh heaven, the Prophet met several prophets.
The Prophet met Adam in the first heaven, Jesus in the second heaven, Joseph in the third heaven, Idris in the fourth heaven, Aaron in the fifth heaven, and Moses in the sixth heaven.
During the journey of The Prophet Muhammad SAW was also faced with various temptations. The first temptation, when the prophet was offered to drink wine or milk, but the Messenger of Allah prefers milk.
During the journey of The Prophet Muhammad SAW is also always plagued with calls from demons, demons and temptresses.
Sidratul Muntaha in the seventh heaven became the end of the prophet Muhammad’s journey to receive the command of Allah.
The command received by the Prophet at that time was in the form of a prayer order 50 times in one day. But when receiving it, Prophet Muhammad SAW was warned by Moses to pay attention to the ability of his ummah.
So at that time, The Prophet Muhammad SAW asked for leniency to Allah so that the command to pray became five times a day. From then on, Muslims must pray five times.
This story may strengthen the faith by not abandoning the five times prescribed prayer
The event of Isra Miraj which this year will be commemorated on March 12, 2021 has also been stated in the Quran surah Al Isra:
Glory be to Him Who made His servant go on a night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa which We had blessed around him, that We may show him some of Our signs. Surely He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
