GoMobile Targeting One Million Customers

VIVAnews - GoMobile has just launched its latest cellular-based services Mobile Advantage (MAD) to broadcast news and advertisements applying the concept of One Cast Mobile Media.

As reported earlier, unlike any other regular broadcast concepts, MAD tends to be an individual-based service, enabling more personal and focused engagement, GoMobile President Director Bobby Arthawan says.

During the first year, Arthawan is optimistic that his company would be able to get 1 million customers. “We’re targeting to acquire 1 million registered customers by the end of 2010,” he said.

From the customers’ point of view, a MAD service user will have to spend about Rp 12 to 18 thousand every month. Double credit return is the benefit offered by GoMobile.

“The calculation depends on the customers’ usage pattern. The bottom line is that we’ll reload their credit double the amount they’ve spent and we’ll do it every week,” GoMobile Product Director Thomas Setiawan told VIVAnews.

MAD subscribers will receive news items which will appear in the form of running text. Meanwhile, the ads will be presented in videos that will pop up every time the customers make calls.

Regarding the content, GoMobile will have its own newsroom. However, Setiawan said there would be possible cooperation with several local media in the future.

“In order to use the services, some customers could access it through text messages provided by some of the telecommunication operators that have established collaboration with us,” he said. Among the operators are the three biggest ones, Telkomsel, Indosat and XL.
