Inquiry Team to Seek Way to Grab Documents

VIVAnews - The special team of Century inquiry at the House of Representatives will only have one month left to finish probing into the Bank Century bail-out fund case worth Rp 6.7 trillion.

Chief of Century Inquiry team Idrus Marham said, "The first week will deal with how we obtain the documents in terms of confidentiality issue," said Idrus in Jakarta on Monday, Feb 1.

For the time being, he said, the team is consulting with the Supreme Court on the mechanism of document confiscation.

He conceded that document collection is the most uphill process for the inquiry team. "We have good intention. The related agencies should hand in everything. We don't wanna seize anything actually," he said.

In addition, he said, some of the summoned bodies have yet to surrender all needed data. "BI has not yet delivered the recordings. The KSSK (Committee for Financial Sector Stability) has yet to give the minute of meeting," said Idrus.

In the second week, he said, the team will summon the Corruption Eradication Commission, the Supreme Audit Agency, and the Center for Report and Analysis of Financial Transaction.

The team will receive the advanced investigative auditing on Feb 8 and 9 from the BPK.

Internal consultating meeting will be held in the third week in an attempt to draw conclusion.
