VIVAnews - The Indonesian government is preparing a strategy in complying with the Asean-China FTA anticipating possible massive layoffs.
A written reply from State Minister of National Development Planning/Chief of National Development Planning Agency, Armida S Alisjahbana stated that one of the anticipative measures to reduce possible layoffs is to impose Joint Decree of four ministers.
"The letter will make possible bipartite meetings on various employment issues," said Armida on Monday, Feb 1.
The policy schedules the continuance of tax incentives for companies so that possible layoffs can be avoided.
The decree is expected to trigger companies rearrange working hours as well as hold work training.
In addition, the government is also preparing an internship programs in the affected companies.
