VIVAnews - The calculation of electricity billing for several industries, which is claimed to be 40 percent higher, will be altered this week. The change will be implemented on several electricity fee structures for entrepreneurs.
Minister of Industry Mr. M.S. Hidayat said after attending a meeting chaired by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr. Hatta Rajasa, July 14 2010. In that meeting, Rajasa asked the miscalculation issue between the entrepreneurs and PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to be resolved this week.
“He asked for the new regulation on the tariff to be announced this week,” Hidayat said at the office of Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
The structures that are planned to be changed are on the types of variables and expenses that need to be paid by the entrepreneurs to PLN.
The entrepreneurs have been obliged to pay fees for multifunction and maximum powers, which were later removed. “The meeting is still in session. It’s all in the hands of our echelon I team,” he said.
As Minister of Industry, Hidayat could only say that the requests were mostly on improvement in the fee structures. “There has been a misperception between the entrepreneurs and the government. We’ll set it straight”.
However, the government confirms that the electricity fare will go up for everybody because it has been addressed by the law.
