VIVAnews - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono today met Volker Kauder, Chief of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU)/ Christian Social Union (CSU) of German parliamentary. During the occasion, Volker said he was impressed by Indonesia's success in coping with the economic crisis.
In fact, Volker said that Germany has viewed Indonesia as its economic partner in Asia. Earlier, there are only Japan and China on the list.
"My visit here signifies Germany's concentration in the region, especially Indonesia. Germany focuses not only on China and Japan in Asia," said Volker.
Germany also expected that Indonesia can cooperate in maintaining balance in the global economy.
"Hopefully, this kind of discussion may tie us in the context of G-20," said Volker.
However, Germany has yet to talk about the investment that can be improved. Nonetheless, if concrete measures are taken, Germany will focus on cooperating in high technology and environment/energy conservation.
