VIVAnews - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) will close this year's trade on Tuesday, Dec 30. The Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Board (Bapepam-LK) and self regulatory organizations (SRO) will hold a year-end press conference.
IDX Director of Share Trading, Research and Business Development MS Sembiring said that there are only three remaining days of share trading at the stock exhange, including today, Wednesday, Dec. 24.
"Press conference and year-end trade closing will be held by 30 December," Sembiring told VIVAnews on Wednesday, Dec 24.
According to Sembiring, after a trade closing this afternoon, share trade will proceed on Friday, Dec 26, and end on Dec 30. Meanwhile, early trade in 2009 will start by 5 January.
Up until today, the Indonesian Stock Exchange has listed 19 new issuers. The last issuer listed its shares in the stock exchange was PT Sekawan Intipratama Tbk (SIAP) on 17 October. However, the number was below the targeted issuers of 25.
Meanwhile, in 2009, IDX is targeting 15 new issuers with projected daily transactions of Rp 2.75 trillion (US$185 million) with bonds' issue valuing to Rp 13.5 trillion (US$1.2 billion).
The target is part of the 2009 work program and budget prepared by the Indonesian Stock Exchange.
IDX President Director Erry Firmansyah said that the board of commissioners has approved the plan. "The target puts the the current economic situation into consideration," said Firmansyah.
