Indonesia to Give US$1 Million to Palestine

VIVAnews – The Indonesian government will send US$1 million aid to help the Palestinians in addition to medical aid.

“Indonesia will give US$1 million aid in addition to medical aid to the conflict area,” said Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Monday, Dec. 29.

Yudhoyono said that Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip has caused enormous amount of casualties and material damages, and that there is no sign of Israel stopping its military attacks. “The attacks caused many casualties including innocents, women and children,” said Yudhoyono.

Yudhoyono also urged the international community to give significant assistance to the Palestinian community. “There is a lot at stake and many lives have fallen,” he said.
