VIVAnews - An Indonesian migrant worker is facing death sentence in Kelantan, Malaysia, after making confession about a killing.

Director of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tatang Razak, told VIVAnews today, Jan 12, that the woman of East Nusa Tenggara is named Walfrida Soik Mau, 22. She awaits the local court to pass a verdict against her.

Tatang said that Walfrida had admitted before the police of having murdered her own boss Yap Seok Pen, 60. In her confession, she stated that the deceased often went mad at her and, eventually, beat the woman.

"On December 7, 2010, Walfrida didn't stand the beating and fought against him. She pushed away her boss, which caused him to fall down," said Tatang.

Seconds after, Walfrida stabbed the man to death.

The Malaysian Police found 43 stab wounds on Yap's body.

Some staff of the Indonesian Embassy to Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur paid a visit over Walfrida at Pasir Mas Police Station, Kelantan, on December 11, 2010. Tatang said a legal adviser has been appointed to advocate the woman.

"Under Malaysian penal code of article 302, Walfrida is facing death sentence," said Tatang.
