Garuda Indonesia to Carry on with IPO

VIVAnews - State-owned airlines PT Garuda Indonesia will still hold an initial public offering (IPO) in Q1 of 2011 despite flight suspension of Mandala Airlines.

According to Chief of the Financial Institution and Capital Market Supervisory Agency, Fuad Rahmany, today, Jan 14, the Mandala issue, "will not have severe effect over Garuda IPO."

The Mandala management decided to suspend its flights as of Thursday, January 13, 2011, due to debt problems and other internal affairs.

Ministry of State-owned Enterprises revealed that the possible IPO prices are set at between Rp 750 and Rp 1,100 per share.

Garuda Indonesia expects to gain fund from the people by Rp10 trillion (US$1.1 billion) from 9.36 billion shares.
