According to Arif, the largest payment is from Corporate Income Tax worth Rp4.6 trillion.
Between 1999 and 2010, Newmont has paid tax, non-tax obligations and royalty by Rp21.174 trillion to the government. The firm owns gold and copper mine concessions in Lapangan Batu Hijau, West Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Gold and copper reserves in the field are estimated to reach 1.1 billion tonnes.
