VIVAnews - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said in his speech today the law enforcers must not linger in disbanding mass organizations that violate the law. Law enforcers are also instructed to take action against those who provoke people to set out attacks toward a party.
"Law enforcers must seek legal and valid measures to disband those groups that are proven of committing acts of violence and disturbing the public," said the President in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara today, Feb 9, during a the commemoration of the National Press Day.
According to Yudhoyono, the nation is now living in the age which endorses the freedom of speech, expressing opinions and assembly. However, the President urged mass organizations to avoid pumping the masses to assault certain groups.
"We can't give spaces to speeches and appeals before the public on assaults, violent acts and killings against any party. Those matters are all against the law," said Yudhoyono/
Mr Yudhoyono said he was sorry to hear two attacks against some parties which took place within three days.
