VIVAnews - As many as seven suspects of bribery case over the past election of Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia who are also members of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle now are questioned by the national antigraft commission KPK.
The seven suspects include Panda Nababan, Ni Luh Mariani Tirtasari, Engelina Pattiasina, M Iqbal, Sutanto Pranoto, Matheos Pormes and Soewarno.
As regards the probe, Panda's lawyer Juniver Girsang filed protest on the issue. According to him, since Panda's detainment on January 28, KPK has only queried his client today.
In addition, Juniver went over KPK which has until today yet to interrogate the briber. "We came to a decision that the case is compelled by the agency," he said.
Panda Nababan and other suspects are alleged of receiving bribes with regard to the election of Sebior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, which was won by Miranda Swaray Goeltom.
