VIVAnews - The Indonesian government holds back plan to increase subsidized fuel prices amidst growing concerns on soaring world oil prices following political conflicts in Libya.
"The government has yet to consider a rise in fuel prices," said Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, in Jakarta today, Feb 25.
World oil prices are expected to remain stable at US$90 per barrel while the the government has set oil prices at US$80 per barrel in the 2011 State Budget.
Earlier, economic analyst Faisal Basri said in a statement that if the government refuses to raise fuel prices in phases, it will have to spend more on fuel.
