VIVAnews - Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo expects the postponement of fuel control policy will not be as late as July 2011 so as not to have larger impact on the State Budget.
"Should the delay in fuel control exceed July, [State] budget will be seriously affected," said Martowardojo in Jakarta today, March 2.
The minister further said the implementation of fuel control program in Jakarta and its surroundings by early March will not put too much pressure on the budget. The existing budget can still be allocated to finance 38.6 million kiloliters of subsidized fuel up until July 2011.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa said the government has yet to assure when the fuel control delay will be revoked. The reason for this is that both the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) are not yet taking any decision on the outcome of fuel control study.
