VIVAnews - The Indonesian capital these days has been target of terror bombings using parcels and packages as the medium. Compared to earlier bombings which aimed at places which foreigners frequented, current targets of the bombings remain unspecified.
The Jakarta Police Department as an anticipation makes ready different teams of bomb squad.
"Threats are everywhere. We'll prepare at least seven members of bomb squad in each subdistrict police office," said Police spokesperson Chief. Comm. Baharuddin Djafar today, March 18.
Baharuddin said irregular packages will be eliminated if they are tracked down by detectors.
Four mail bombs were previously delivered to popular figures in Jakarta including Islamic scholar Ulil Abshar Abdalla, Chief of the National Narcotics Agency, Comm. Gen. Gorries Mere, Chairman of Pemuda Pancasila, Japto Suryasumarno and musician, Ahmad Dhani. A bomb was exploded in Utan Kayu prior to being defused by the bomb squad in Utan Kayu and injured three persons.
