VIVAnews - Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Darwin Zahedy Saleh, said in a statement that the national oil supply is still secure despite fire accident that occurs at three oil refineries belonging to state oil and gas Pertamina in Cilacap.
According to Darwin, Pertamina owns 207 oil tanks of various types in Cilacap.
"The impact [from the fire accident] will be minimual," Darwin told VIVAnews on Sunday.
ESDM Ministry will proceed with further monitoring over the recent blow.
Pertamina was on Sunday night assisted by the Jakarta administration, Chevron, British Petroleum, Exxon, Indonesian Air Force and Police to extinguish the fire. 75 tonnes of fire fighting foam is required to put out the fire.
