VIVAnews - The Indonesian government said in a statement it will focus on the development of basic infrastructures in six economic zones as attached in the 2012 National Action Plan. In the mean time, state-owned enterprises and commercial sectors are expected to collaborate in the development master plan.
National Development Planning Minister/National Development Planning Agency Chief, Armida S Alisjahbana, said the government will prioritize several infrastructure projects such as double track system in Java, Merak-Bakauheni Harbor, southern route of Java, eastern route of Sumatra, and transportation system in Kalimantan.
"The central government will build basic infrastructures while provincial governments will develop supporting infrastructures," said Armida on Wednesday.
Earlier, the government emphasized six new national economic zones in Sumatra, northern West Java, northern North Coast of Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, eastern Java, Java and Nusa Tenggara.
Given the more systematic work plan between the central and provincial governments as well as the government and commercial sectors, Armida believed Indonesia may hit 7-8 percent of growth.
