VIVAnews - The National Police will summon an Indonesian initialed BG, a Jakarta-based video editor for Al Jazeera. The man was said as having met a suspect of Jakarta mail bombing Imam Firdaus, a Global TV cameraman.
"IF [Imam Firdaus] talked with B about the plan to broadcast a bombing," said Police spokesperson, Boy Rafli Amar, on Friday.
B, said Boy, said no to the offer. "They were involved in two meetings," he said.
"He will be considered as witness," said the Police.
The mastermind behind the Jakarta mail bombing, Pepi Fernando, demanded that the actions were headlined and broadcasted by the media, especially foreign TV network.
Pepi contacted Imam Firdaus and promised him a spot at a TV network to broadcast the planned bombing coverage live.
Nur Shabah, wife of Imam Firdaus, said Imam was in the vague about Pepi's background on the mail bombing issues. She denied information that Imam was advised by Pepi to film a bombing in Serpong prior to Good Friday Eve. Police, however, found out about the plan and discovered where the alleged bombs were placed.
