VIVAnews - Mail bombings provoked by the network of Pepi Fernando have inspired a 14-year old boy in Kepahyang Regency, Bengkulu Province, to assemble a bomb between book pages.
A child initialed FY, third-grade student of Kepahyang Junior High School, was arrested by the police on Tuesday. "It was his father who filed a report to the police after he found an explosive-like material in his house," said Police spokesperson, Adj. Chief. Comm. Heri Wiyanto.
"Chief of the Bengkulu Police Department also questioned the boy. Based on early investigation, he (FY) said he was just playing with the thing," Hery said.
FY applied the knowledge he achieved from reading a book of which titled is "Revealing Great Stories in Quran." "After some reading, he said he was confused [of the stories]. Soon after, he took a knife and used it to hollow out the book and assembled it as if it was a bomb," Hery said.
Further investigation showed that no explosives were found installed in the book. "He attaches electric circuits that he took off from a PlayStation stick," said Hery.
However, said Hery, police did not take the reasons as they were. "Should the material be targeted to arouse people's anxiety, we could nail him down," he said.
