VIVAnews - PT JIExpo Marketing Director, Ralph Scheuneman, said that for over a week of the Jakarta Fair (PRJ), the amount of transaction reached Rp1 trillion. According to him, this figure was an increase of 25 percent compared to the first ten days of Jakarta Fair last year. “The amount of transaction up to the tenth day has reached Rp1 trillion,” said Scheuneman in Jakarta, 19 June 2011.
He explained that the amount was derived from the transactions of 1300 tenants from 2,600 companies which opened a stall in Jakarta Fair. The tenants which contributed the most transaction were of automotive. “Almost 40 percent of Rp1 trillion was from transaction in automotive, the rest was from all tenants equally,” he said.
The high amount of transaction in automotive was likely bearing in mind the price of every goods for sale is high. Moreover, he said, visitors’ interest to buy vehicles in Jakarta Fair was because of discounts and gifts. “You can say automotive purchase at Jakarta Fair is the best among other automotive sales events in Jakarta,” he said.
Ralf was certain that by the high amount of transaction within only 10 days, the targeted transaction amount of Rp3.5 trilion can be met. The target is 25 percent higher than the amount of transaction last year, that is around Rp3 trillion. The number of visitors also increased significantly.
Within 10 days, the number of visitors went beyond one million. This figure is between 10 and 15 percent higher than that of the first ten days of last year’s Jakarta Fair. “The highest number of visitor was last Saturday night, reaching 140,000 people,” he explained.
In order to anticipate large flocks of visitors, PT JIExpo had already prepared 800 urine booths at the minimum at 40 spots. The organizer had also arranged praying rooms at 14 spots as well as security by Indonesian Military (TNI) and National Police (Polri).
The organizer provided a parking facility with the capacity of 10,000 cars and 15,000 motorbikes. For visitors not coming with private vehicles, the organizer provided free bus transportation from IRTI parking lot, National Monument (Monas) to Jakarta Fair arena every 30 minutes.
The bus will also be available at Gambir railway station, connected with busway in Gunung Sahari and Harmoni.
