VIVAnews – The Customs and Excise Directorate General of Finance Ministry as of June 30, 2011 acquired revenue amounting to more than Rp60.3 trillion. The realization of this revenue comprised customs, excise and export tax.
“The total of the realization exceeds the target,” said Customs and Excise Information Director Susiwijono at his office in Jakarta today.
Susiwijono said that the realization of the state revenue from customs and excise exceeded the government’s target. Out of the target of Rp41.1 trillion, the customs and excise revenue as of June 23, 2011 reached Rp60.34 trillion, or 146.82 percent.
Out of the three state revenue sources from customs and revenue post, the largest one came from excise, amounting to Rp33.3 trillion of 110 percent of the target. Meanwhile, the revenue from customs totaled Rp11.42 trillion or 133.15 percent of the target.
Among all the state revenue sources, the amount of revenue from export tax increased the highest. Out of the revenue target of Rp2.44 trillion, export tax has contributed to the state revenue with Rp15.59 trillion or 637.07 percent of the target.
The customs and excise revenue in the 2011 Revised State Budget was targeted to be Rp85.76 trillion. As of June 23, 2011 the Customs and Excise Directorate General had pocketed Rp60.33 trillion of funds, or 70.35 percent of the annual target.
If measured based on the revenue target as of June 23, the government has secured a surplus of customs and excise revenue totaling Rp19.24 trillion.
