Jakarta Index Breaks New Record Today

VIVAnews - The composite stock price index at the Indonesia Stock Exchange broke a new record today as it hit the level of 3,928.04.

In the mean time, the highest point that the index recorded earlier was 3,895.18 on Thursday.

Chief of Researchers at PT Citi Pacific Securities, Hendri Effendi, said the improve was triggered by the positive sentiment from Dow Jones. "It affects the regional market positively, including the domestic market," he said on Friday.

The Dow Jones index on Thursday trade was closed 1.25 higher to 12,414.34.

Hendri estimated that the index may book another record at 4,000.
