VIVAnews - Four state-owned enterprises on insurance sector - PT Jamsostek, PT Askes, PT Asabri, and PT Taspen - are scheduled to merge under the Social Security Agency.
"The government and the House of Representatives have said yes over the matter," said Chief of Public Relations Division at the Ministry of Finance, Yudi Pramadi, today.
In line with the incorporation, the government and DPR suggest that the action should not lead to layoffs. The directors of the four merging companies are assigned to monitor the transformation.
Earlier, Minister of State-owned Enterprises, Mustafa Abubakar, said the Social Security Agency emphasizes the establishment of the new agency which focuses on health issues.
Despite the plan, the government will not remove the previous agency.
