VIVAnews - Indonesia's Education Anti-corruption Coalition finds in its study recently that several international standard schools (RSBI) in the country have been of interests for corruptors.
Chairman of Parents Alliance for Education Care, Handaru, said the research shows that grafts are allegedly found committed at 1 High School RSBI of South Tambun, Bekasi.
"Based on the reports, the school was found spending Rp15 million in an effort to be allocated budget by either provincial or local governments," he said on Tuesday, July 12.
In addition, Hendaru said the school was reported of making Rp3 billion of expenses in pursuit of Provincial Budget allocation.
Moreover, former Chief of 70 Highschool RSBI Committee, Musni Umar, pointed out alleged corruption practices at the school. Due to nontransparency and unaccountability, the committee called out Jakarta Financial Monitoring Agency and Development to set out complete audit.
Musni said the investigation found out about Rp1.2 billion of savings deposited in an unjustified bank account. However, the Monitoring Agency believed it was purely resulted from a mismanagement despite corruption.
Musni was dismissied of his office in December 2010. "The current committee's officers are with the school," he said.
70 Highschool Committee filed a suit against 13 school representatives including the shool's former principals, Pernon Akbar and Pono Abdullah.
