VIVAnews - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said Indonesia deserves to get the applause for handling terrorism. Other countries, said Yudhoyono, can actually learn from Indonesia, which is fully experienced in tackling acts of terrors.
"We're not new on the issue. Other countries should also learn from Indonesia," Yudhoyono said on Tuesday, August 9.
Yudhoyono called on to countries overseas to collaborate with Indonesia in an effort to handle terrorism. "Sharing experiences and knowledge, and comparing the regulations," said Yudhoyono.
Indonesia can also be an example in terms policies and strategies to stamp out terrorism. "We believe that we are ready to share strategies for pummeling terrorism," said Yudhoyono.
The most important matter at the moment is, said the President, how the state can provide protection to the people so as to enable them live peacefully, securely, and safely.
"If the state can provide protection to them, it means we have partially been through several important missions," said Yudhoyono.
