VIVAnews - A bank teller named Sri Wahyuni Simangunsong working in state-run BRI Syariah of Medan branch was found dead with duct tape over her face and wounds all over the body. She was discovered dead under a bridge near Samosir tourist area on Friday, August 5. Investigation leads to a married couple, one of whom was a cop.
The police rounded up four suspects from two different places today, August 12. Erwin Harahap, one of the suspects, works as a police officer in Medan. Together with a colleague named Suherman, who goes by one name, they robbed and killed the victim. Both their wives nicknamed Ria and Eva were of help during the action.
Chief of Crime and Investigation Unit at Medan Police Department, Adj. Comm. Yoris M Marzuki, said a Erwin was shot in the leg for attempting to run away.
Suspect Suherman said it was the second time they committed the robbery.
"Erwin is the man behind the case. I and my wife Eva were only doing some help. We didn't kill anyone. She was accidentally killed due to the duct tape," said Suherman.
