VIVAnews - Oil and Gas Production Increase Monitoring Team (TP3M) said average oil and gas production has increased considerably recording August as the highest in 2011 at 913,000 barrels per day of oil production and 9,068 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas production.
TP3M Chief, Danny Tampubolon, said as varied attempts as land acquisition, better oil transportation, and production facilities are recommended so as to double production.
Control over the Work Plan and Budget of Production Sharing Contractors of 2011 asserts drilling plans of 490 wells up until July 2011 across Indonesia. However, several drillings in certain fields did not meet the target.
"The realized drilling up until July of 2011 either in exploration area or production area have only been 33 percent completed," he said.
