VIVAnews - Ajang MTV Video Music Awards ke-28 selesai digelar di Los Angeles, Minggu malam, 28 Agustus 2011 waktu setempat. Seperti dikutip dari laman Aceshowbiz, penyanyi Katy Perry menjadi bintang dalam acara tersebut.
Setelah masuk dalam sembilan nominasi, pelantun 'Firework' itu pun berhasil memboyong tiga penghargaan untuk kategori Video of the year, Best Collaboration, dan Best Special Effects in a Video.
Tidak hanya Katy Perry yang berbahagia, penyanyi asal Inggris, Adele juga sukses membawa empat piala untuk video ‘Rolling in the Deep’ dalam ajang ini. Ia berhasil meraih penghargaan untuk kategori Best Art Direction in a Video, Best Editing in a Video, Best Cinematography in a Video, dan Best Direction in a Video.
Musisi lainnya yang berhasil membawa pulang piala berbentuk astronot itu antara lain Lady Gaga untuk kategori Best Video with a Message dan Justin Bieber untuk kategori Best Male Video.
