VIVAnews - The House of Representatives (DPR) has not only seen 21 suspicious transactions. Moreover, it is feared that the transactions did not only involve a House member.
"There are also other issues which arouse suspicion," said House Speaker Marzuki Alie in Jakarta, yesterday.
However, Marzuki did not reveal the exact amount of questionable transactions committed by House members. The reports from the Financial Transaction and Report Analysis Center (PPATK) was made by the request of the House Honorary Council.
"I received a request from the Honorary Council for checking some names with PPATK. Then I took the request to the board meeting and forwarded it to PPATK. Then, there was a reply from PPATK," said the deputy chairman of Democratic Party Board of Trustees.
House Budget Committee Member of the PAN (National Mandate Party) faction, Wa Ode Nurhayati has denied allegations that 21 suspicious transactions belonged to her. Wa Ode actually received the information that the PPATK report to the House leaders did not only comprise those 21 suspicious transactions.
"Last night I was in a discussion in the television with Mr. Yunus Husein (PPATK head). He mentioned that the report sent to the House leaders did not only comprise 21 transactions, but there are hundreds of suspicious transactions," said Wa Ode.
According to Wa Ode, Yunus Husein also informed that there was not only one House member who committed suspicious transactions. Yunus, said Wa Ode, did not want this PPATK report be politicized.
"What PPATK delivered contained hundreds of suspicious transactions. He said, he did not want this to be political, let alone to assassinate the character of others. PPATK does not want the data to be misused," said the House member from Southeast Sulawesi.
