VIVAnews - The spread of bird flu virus in Bali has claimed the lives of two brothers of Bangli Regency. The Bali administration imposes extraordinary measures to contain the deadly virus.
"The extraordinary measure is set immediately after the virus claims lives. In addition, Bali in the coming weeks will set up the East Asia Summit, an event which expects the participation of US President Barack Obama," member Bali Provincial House of Representatives, Ketut Kariyasa Adnyana, told VIVAnews, today.
Several regencies anticipate future spreading of the virus by carrying out regular fogging at Satria bird market.
"Regular fogging will be set out at several places that are prone to bird flu such as markets, housing facilities and other important spots. Fowl traffic to and from cities and provinces is highly monitored," said Denpasar Chief of Agriculture Agency, Gede Ambara.
The two infected brothers who died from the virus were Wayan Aldiawan, 10, and Nengah Rika Ari, 5.
