VIVAnews – The newly appointed State-Owned Enterprises, Dahlan Iskan, said he is ready to resign from the ministerial office should he fail to carry out the given tasks.
"I told the President that anytime he's not satisfied with me, then just have me replaced," said Dahlan Iskan.
Dahlan said a year or two for evaluation is not compulsory. Should the President tell him to step down after six months of working, he would obey the instruction.
He even dares to sign a letter of resignation on a blank date field. If one day the President is about to replace him, the president can directly make a dismissal. "If the letter of resignation doesn’t state the date, I will still sign it," he explained.
Helming the State Electricity Company PLN, he did the same ethics of duty. Exactly a year after taking the office, he came to the President asking whether or not he did a fine job at PLN.
"If I can't make it up (SOEs minister’s post), I would leave the office," he said.
