VIVAnews - 29 electric trains serving Bogor-Jakarta route will cancel trips as of today until November 29, 2011.
A total of 29,000 passengers will be affected by the cancellation as the construction of six electrical substations is underway. As a result, their regular return trips of Bogor-Jakarta will be longer.
Head of Public Relations of PT Kereta Api Operational Area I, Mateta Rizallulhaq, said that in order to anticipate disorders, his party would enhance security measures.
He believes that many passengers would insist on taking the trains. PT KA on that matter would double the number of security personnel to guard the stations.
He explained that there may be stations that accumulate more passengers than any other such as Bogor, Bojonggede, Citayam, Depok, Manggarai, and Jakarta-Kota stations.
Mateta said he hopes the powerhouse construction will be completed sooner that expected.
